The results of the 114th academic year university admission allocation were announced today (12th), and Feng Chia University once again achieved outstanding results. With 2,407 students allocated, it ranks first among all public and private universities nationwide. The enrollment rate reached an impressive 96.05%, making it the top university among those with an enrollment scale exceeding 2,000 students. Feng Chia University is the only top university to excel in both "allocation numbers" and "enrollment rate."

To enhance faculty and staff benefits and respond to the government's 114th academic year salary adjustment policy for military, public, and educational personnel, Feng Chia University recently announced a 3% salary increase for all faculty and staff, effective January 1 this year. After receiving approval for the salary scale from the Ministry of Education, the university will issue a one-time payment today (29th) for the salary differences from January to May, showcasing its appreciation and commitment to faculty and staff, as well as its proactive measures to strengthen talent retention and recruitment.

The semiconductor industry has been one of the most prominent industries in Taiwan in recent years. With the issue of net-zero carbon emissions, the high-energy consumption semiconductor manufacturing process is a challenge that the industry urgently needs to address. To continuously cultivate engineering and research talents with practical experience and capabilities, and to develop energy-saving equipment for high-energy consumption, Feng Chia University and Gallant Precision Machining Co., Ltd. signed an industry-academia alliance memorandum of cooperation on May 8 at Feng Chia University, represented by President Wei Wang and General Manager You-Wen Liang. Through the donation of instruments and equipment, they demonstrated their long-term cooperation idea of jointly establishing the "Advanced Energy and Thermal Management Laboratory."

Jointly organized by Feng Chia University's Office of Technology Development, Office of Sustainability and Social Responsibility, and Office of Industry-Academia Operations and Promotion, the "2025 Feng Chia University Technology Innovation Application Competition" underwent nearly six months of submissions and preliminary reviews. On May 2, the grand final and exhibition were held on the 8th floor of the Science and Aeronautics Building. The competition encouraged students to use innovative technology to solve practical problems, cultivating interdisciplinary integration capabilities. It attracted 70 student teams and over 300 faculty and students from across the university. Ultimately, 41 teams stood out and advanced to the finals, competing in the two main themes of "Digital Applications" and "Sustainable Development," showcasing their achievements.

Organized by DIGITIMES and partnered internationally with Amazon Web Services (AWS), the "Cloud Intelligence Rising: Taiwan Generative AI Application Hackathon" held its finals on April 26-27 at the Taipei Eslite Hotel. The event brought together practical challenges and data resources provided by the government and industry, with 29 universities, 112 teams, and 472 participants from across Taiwan showcasing their generative AI application capabilities.
