Feng Chia University achieves high in enrollment rate, tops private universities in overall retention rate

On December 28th, the Ministry of Education announced the enrollment rates for the 2023 academic year. Feng Chia University achieved an overall enrollment rate of 96.84%, ranking second among comprehensive private universities. The registration rate for daytime bachelor's degree reached an 99.70%, while the enrollment rates for master's and doctoral programs were also above 92 percent.

Except the enrollment rate of first-year students, the stability of students continuing their studies into the second year is also an important indicator of a "good university." Apart from setting a record high in enrollment rate, Feng Chia University also attained a 95.25% retention rate for the 2023 academic year.

Despite facing the challenges posed by declining birth rates, in this year's university admissions, Feng Chia University was one of the few universities with "zero unfilled quota" and saw a steady increase in the enrollment rate of new students.

Adapting to the trends of the times, Feng Chia University continually updates its curriculum and departments. In the 2024 academic year, it introduced the unique " Post-Baccalaureate Program of Net Zero and Smart Sustainability" and established the STEM " Post-Baccalaureate Program of Information Engineering Computer Science" to cultivate talent for companies in achieving zero carbon emissions, actively responding to the needs of industrial transformation. It also assists students interested in transitioning to the technology industry and aims to meet market demands for manpower. In the 2025 academic year, the university will introduce new programs such as the "Dual Bachelor's Degree Program in Electrical Engineering with the University of Queensland, Australia," the "Bachelor's Degree Program in Finance," and the "Master's Degree Program in Cybersecurity," aiming to cultivate a more diverse and solid talent pool for society and industry.
