Feng Chia alumnus and his wife donated a special car for pandemic prevention and long-term care

Alumnus Chen Zhihui, Grade 66 of the Department of Information Engineering of Feng Chia University, responded to the "New Taipei Anti-pandemic Low-light Project" and led the Taiwan Taxi Academy's team to participate in the epidemic prevention operation, and donated a Ford Traveller's anti-epidemic long-term car. On July 2nd, a donation ceremony was held in front of the Xuesi Garden. President Bing Jean Lee accepted the donation, and the special car joined the fleet to assist in escorting confirmed patients and transporting medical supplies.

The recent pandemic in Taiwan has affected the lives of everyone on the island. In addition to the overall control of the government’s central epidemic command center, the private sector is also doing its utmost to protect Taiwan. Prof. Hou Shengzong of our school launched the “New Taipei Anti-pandemic Project”. Since the beginning of the pandemic, escorts and transportation of pandemic prevention medical supplies have been devoted to a large number of people diagnosed daily. After the news was disclosed, Anti-pandemic vehicle drivers became unsung heroes in everyone's minds, and the Twilight fleet was also the most trusted solid backing of the people and was affirmed and supported by all parties. Among them, Chen Zhihui’s alumnus and his wife were deeply moved by the brave dedication of the Twilight fleet after reading the relevant reports. The couple quickly decided to donate a special car to join the anti-epidemic escort transportation ranks, showing Feng Chia with the most practical actions.

Ford Traveller modified the elevator to facilitate the wheelchair to get on and off for the elderly, and the side doors are also equipped with special pedals for getting off the car, providing a more intimate and safer device.
